At Cheat Lake Physicians, patients can develop ongoing, personalized relationships with their physicians and other health professionals. We're here for sick visits when you need us, and we're here for well visits to ensure the good health you and your family enjoy. On-site X-ray, bone density screening, ultrasound, and lab services save time and trouble. The Betty Puskar Breast Care Center also offers the latest in digital mammography services from this location. We are well equipped to provide a great number of simple, outpatient procedures. Electronic Medical Records Cheat Lake Physicians is a leader in the Morgantown medical community with the efficient use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to provide an extra level of care for our patients. Electronic records are easy to read. All WVU Healthcare clinicians have immediate access to your medical information, ensuring the most complete and efficient communication of your information across services. Automatic warnings for drug interactions, etc. Prescriptions are legible and faxed to your pharmacy. Shot records are updated quickly Refills Please monitor your medications to avoid a delay in refilling your prescriptions. We recommend that you check the status of your medications before each visit so that you can ask for refills while you’re in the office. Between visits, you can request a refill by calling us during regular office hours. When calling the office, remember to have your pharmacy telephone number available for refills or new medications that may be prescribed. Please have an alternate pharmacy number available if your primary pharmacy is not open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Lab and Test Results Please remember that most tests take 24-48 hours for results to come back. All results will be reported once we receive the information from the laboratories. You will be notified by postal mail of results. If you were asked to call or haven't heard about your result(s), please contact us. Results cannot be obtained after hours and cannot be discussed with the on-call physician. Financial Policy Patient payment is due at the time of service. If eligible (after a minimum service fee of $250.00 has been met), patients will be offered a discount of 20% for paying in full at the time of service. Refusal to follow this guideline could result in rescheduling, cancelling, or delay of the appointment. We provide emergency care to all patients regardless of their ability to pay. A medical screening will be completed to determine medical need. No-Show and Cancellation Policy For the convenience of all our patients and staff, WVU Cheat Lake Physicians requires 24-hours notice when patients need to cancel an appointment. An established patient who has cancelled or is a no-show three or more times without sufficient notice may be released from WVU Cheat Lake Physicians. A new patient who fails to cancel with sufficient notice or no-shows is subject to a release of medical service from WVU Cheat Lake Physicians.
